The Walking Dead has been one of the best apocalypse shows of all time, and while it is coming to an end soon, there still will be some spinoff shows around in the future.

The long-running AMC show is coming to an end on Nov. 20, 2022, when the series finale, Rest in Peace, releases. That means there are just three episodes left within the run of the flagship show.

Despite the show ending, a number of the main cast could be back in other projects portraying the same character. Let’s go over all the spinoffs in the works.

The Walking Dead Spin-off shows to get excited about

Fear The Walking Dead

Fear has been renewed for another season, meaning fans will get another year of the original spinoff show within the Walking Dead world.

Untitled Daryl Dixon series with Norman Reedus

Norman Reedus and Daryl are heading to Europe for a spinoff show. While the series was supposed to follow Daryl and Caryl, the show will now just be about Daryl down the line. It will be interesting to see how his character gets there and how the apocalypse looks around the world.

Maggie and Negan series

If you are a fan of TWD you might wonder how Maggie and Negan will be in a show together with the two being enemies. I, too, am interested in getting answers on this, luckily we won’t have to wait too long with the six-episode spinoff expected to release next year.

Michonne and Rick show

The long-awaited Rick Grimes three-part movie starring Andrew Lincoln is being turned into a six-episode arc on AMC+. The show will follow Rick and Michonne, so both Lincoln and Danai Gurira will be back in TWD universe. The show will also be showrunned by Scott M. Gimple, so maybe that would explain why this project went from a large-scale three-part movie to a simple six-episode AMC+ arc.

Some past Walking Dead projects included Tales of the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond. The final few episodes of The Walking Dead air on Sundays on AMC.
