November 11 weekend movies: Every new movie in theaters and streaming this weekend
By Ricky Valero
One of the most emotional weekends of film has arrived. We are celebrating, but we are also remembering the brilliant mind of Chadwick Boseman. Below, we share the best new weekend movies to watch in theaters and available on streaming services that you won’t want to miss.
One of the pure joys of writing for Hidden Remote is being able to write this article each and every week. I love diving deep to find the movies coming out and sharing some of the biggest and even smallest films being released. I hope in my time writing this, and I help one person find something worth checking out or make their night easier by finding the movie for them.
Weekend movies to watch (and stream) today
- Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Theaters
- Is That Black Enough For You?!?, Netflix
- Falling for Christmas, Netflix
Black Panther is one of my top 5 Marvel movies ever released. When Chadwick Boseman passed away, I knew that the story would continue, but I was skeptical of what would be ahead for the character. However, understanding that Ryan Coogler took a step back to reassess and write this film with him in mind while furthering the story made me feel excited for what is ahead.
The trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever put any possible remaining doubts that I had to bed. I can’t wait to experience this movie, and while I know it’ll be emotional, I know they will do right by Chadwick.
Speaking of returns, Lindsay Lohan is set to make her return in the upcoming Netflix film, Falling for Christmas. Sure, the movie looks cheesy, but who cares? LINDSAY LOHAN IS BACK! I can’t wait for this movie.
I’d be crazy not to mention that you NEED to watch the documentary Is That Black Enough For You?!? It’s a story that highlights Elvis Mitchell’s deep dive into the overlooked African American contribution to the film world.
What will you be watching this weekend? Will you enjoy a movie in theaters or streaming?
