Jennifer Aniston leaves heartfelt message after her father’s passing

Friends star Jennifer Aniston has just experienced a very important loss in her life. The actress shared in an Instagram post that her father, John Aniston, died on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. He was 89 years old.

The post includes a sweet photo of the father holding her when she was a baby, the duo when Jennifer was a bit older during her childhood, and the two together more recently before his passing. The post reads:

"You were one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew. I am so grateful that you went soaring into the heavens in peace – and without pain. And on 11/11 no less! You always had perfect timing. That number will forever hold an even greater meaning for me now. I’ll love you till the end of time."

Those in America know that Nov. 11, or 11/11 is Veteran’s Day. That’s what Jennifer is referring to in her Instagram post. Her father served in the U.S. Navy as an intelligence officer after college, before he took on the same career as his daughter’s.

Who is Jennifer Aniston’s father?

Jennifer is such a talented actress, and she gets that from her dad! John is most known for his role as Victor Kiriakis on soap opera Days of Our Lives. He first started playing the villainous character in 1985 and has stuck with it up until his death. The actor just appeared in the Nov. 11, 2022 episode. Due to filming ahead, we’re going to continue seeing him in upcoming episodes. His final episode will air Monday, Dec. 26, TVLine reports.

In a Twitter post, the official Days of Our Lives account shared their own message:

"Our hearts are broken over the loss of our beloved family member John Aniston. We love you John. Your legend will live on."

John started his career as an actor in 87th Precinct in 1962. His main role was always on the daytime soap opera, but he also appeared in episodes on other shows like Gilmore Girls, My Big Fat Greek Life, and Mad Men over the years. He received a Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.
