Days of Our Lives actor John Aniston died Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 at the age of 89. The sad news was confirmed by his daughter, Friends star Jennifer Aniston, in an Instagram post. A cause of death has not been shared. With episodes being filmed ahead, we’re still going to see the actor in a few upcoming ones. When is his final episode?

Aniston first started his career in front of the cameras in 1962 on a show called 87th Precinct. Over the years he’s popped up in Gilmore Girls, My Big Fat Greek Life, Mad Men, among others. But really, he’s most known for his work on the daytime series as Victor Kiriakis!

The actor first took on the role in the soap in 1985, and was committed to it for over 30 years ever since. His latest appearance so far was on the Nov. 11, 2022 Days of Our Lives episode. His character is most known for being a villain, and Aniston played the role so well!

According PEOPLE, Aniston’s final episode is scheduled to stream Monday, Dec. 26 on Peacock. The episodes obviously aren’t filmed live with production rolling the cameras months ago. So that means we’ll get to see the actor in a few more episodes. It’s not known yet though how many installments he appears in.

The news outlet reports that the series plans to also air a special tribute during his last episode. In a statement, the show told PEOPLE that they are still working on how his character’s storyline will be completed.

Days of Our Lives releases new episodes weekdays on Peacock. John Aniston’s final appearance on the show will be on Monday, Dec. 26.
