The first half of Walker Independence‘s freshman run ended with a moving episode in “The Owl and the Arrow.” The halfway point in season 1, put three of the main characters on paths we couldn’t have anticipated.
Calian confronted his trauma regarding the kidnapping of his sister 15 years prior whilst also contending with the reality of Independence’s citizens thirsting for his demise over a murder he didn’t commit. The latter ordeal nearly saw him swinging from the gallows but last minute revelations kept him from entering into the next life.
With his time in town over for now, we’ll be seeing him spend more of his time with his fellow Apache, opening the world of Walker Independence wider in coming episodes. As for Abby, she’s been left with a choice regarding Tom that sees her holding the man’s life in her hands in a way she didn’t expect.
The demise of the Reyes patriarch, Francis, will see Hoyt stepping up to help the family in the aftermath of Luis’ fatal decision. It’ll be interesting watching the outlaw work to become a respected member of town, accountable for his actions and how they affect the people important to him.
When will we be returned to this period western? Here’s what we know!

Judging by the promo above, we could be in for a bit of a time jump on the show. We’ll also be introduced to Abby’s sister. We learned about her earlier in the season, the two don’t see eye-to-eye and her arrival could blow Abby’s cover.
She’s been going by the surname ‘Walker,’ an English interpretation of the Apache name given to her by Calian and his people after they rescued her out on the prairie. We’re excited to find out how her sister’s appearance in Independence will affect her mission to take Tom down moving forward considering the man is very much alive in the promo.
