Recently on NCIS: Hawaii, Lucy Tara had a big decision to make. She’d applied to a new position when she and Kate were broken up. The job was to be an ‘afloat’ NCIS agent which would mean the two would be apart for four months.

After talking it out, the newly reunited pair agreed that Lucy should take the position since she’d gotten the job. Of course, news like this would have viewers wondering if they’d be saying goodbye to Lucy.

Here’s what we know about the characters future!

Is Yasmine Al-Bustami leaving NCIS: Hawaii?

According to Just Jared, Lucy Tara accepting this job doesn’t mean fans will have to part ways with her. The big three-way crossover between the NCIS flagship, NCIS: Hawaii, and NCIS: Los Angeles is set to kick off on Monday, Jan. 2.

As registered by IMDb, Yasmine Al-Bustami will be a part of the cast for the episode, “Deep Fake,” which will see the units working to save kidnapped team members and dealing with an asset that has ties to several overseas assassinations.

She’s also listed as part of the regular cast for the fall finale, “Desperate Measures,” which airs Monday, Dec. 5 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.

We’ll keep you posted on if Al-Bustami’s time as a cast member will be drawing to a close but, for now, Lucy Tara isn’t going anywhere but to the position she applied to, got, and no doubt will excel at even if it does mean four months without her team and her girlfriend, Kate.
