Happy day after Turkey Day/Black Friday to all of you. I hope you ate your weight in food. Below, we share the best new weekend movies to watch in theaters and available on streaming services that you won’t want to miss.

One of the things I love the most about this holiday is not just being able to eat a bunch of food and watch football but that we get a plethora of releases coming out to check out on the big screen. We’ve got good movies and ones that should be in the awards conversation throughout the year.

Weekend movies to watch (and stream) today

  • Bones and All, Theaters
  • Devotion, Theaters
  • Strange World, Theaters
  • The FabelmansTheaters
  • A Christmas Mystery, HBO Max
  • Love, Lizzo, HBO Max
  • Good Night Oppy, Prime Video
  • Disenchanted, Disney+
  • Holiday Harmony, HBO Max
  • Fantasy Football, Paramount+
  • Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Select Theaters

I don’t know where to begin with the number of films out this weekend. We have Christmas movies dropping to prep us for the month ahead with a pair of films on HBO Max with A Christmas Mystery and Holiday Harmony, neither of which sound appetizing. Still, I am excited about Love, Lizzo, which is dropping on the streaming platform.

Disney+ continues releasing sequels of movies that came out over a decade ago with its release of Disenchanted. The film is the follow-up to the 2007 movie Enchanted, which sees the return of Academy Award winner Amy Adams along with two of the original film stars, Patrick Dempsey and James Marsden. Of course, I’m in the boat that Adams can do no wrong, so I’ll be watching.

The big release of the week is Bones and All, which will have the Chalamites (is that a thing) excited across the world. The movie follows Maren (Taylor Russell) as she navigates how to survive on the margins of society. Russell and Timothée Chalamet have been getting rave reviews regarding the film, with Mark Rylance also getting some love for his creepy performance. I’m ready to eat this one up.
