6 new Netflix movies and shows to watch this week (Nov. 28)
By Ricky Valero
Holy cow, CHRISTMAS IS COMING. I am not prepared for the month ahead. Like we do each and every week, we’re sharing all the new Netflix movies and shows debuting beginning the week of Nov. 28, 2022.
Honestly, wouldn’t it be nice if Netflix backed off a little with the content this time of the year? It would be, but we all know better by now. With that being said, Netflix has a wide range of content to satisfy everyone in the family, which I love to see each week. From a brand new food show to the second season of a hit show to a documentary about a beloved filmmaker, let’s dive in.
New Netflix movies and shows to watch this week
- Snack vs. Chef, Nov. 30
- Troll, Dec. 1
- Firefly Lane season 2, Dec. 2
- Lady Chatterley’s Lover, Dec. 2
- Hot Skull, Dec. 2
- Sr., Dec. 2
The week’s biggest release comes in the form of a documentary about a respected filmmaker. Sr. tells the story of Robert Downey Sr., who was a director mostly known for his work on bringing a unique approach to the comedy space in Hollywood.
Netflix brings out this Oscar hopeful with Robert Downey Jr. at the forefront by producing the film and having guests Paul Thomas Anderson, Alan Arkin, Sean Hayes, and Norman Lear talk about Downey Sr. throughout the doc. It has all the potential to be special, and I can’t wait to check it out.
The other big release is season two of the very popular Netflix series Firefly Lane. Netflix is planning to do with the series as they’ve done with most, with releasing the first part of season two this week and part two releasing at some point in 2023. But the biggest question will the relationship between Tully and Kate be repaired? And will we find out that answer in part one? I was surprised by the series and the emotional depth it provided. I am looking forward to checking this out.
From our suggestions, what will you be watching? Are you excited about the new season of Firefly Lane? Or will you be checking out Sr. with me? Let us know, and let’s hope next week brings us more Netflix additions.
