Teen Wolf: The Movie officially releases on Paramount+ on Thursday, Jan. 26. But before you get your popcorn ready for the big day, we want to fill you in on some very important information regarding this 2023 release.

Beginning with the film’s story, we know that the film will follow Scott McCall’s mission to gather his strongest allies to defeat a menacing threat that spells danger to the lives of those residing in Beacon Hills. It’s unclear what or who this threat is. But, according to the official synopsis, we know that the new antagonist is stronger than any Benefactors or Dread Doctors.

More on the official synopsis (via Paramount+) below:

"A full moon rises in Beacon Hills and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), no longer a teenager yet still an alpha, can both gather new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced."

As you might have guessed, Tyler Posey will return to play the role of Scott McCall. However, he’s not the only familiar face you’ll see. Without further ado, here’s who is set to appear in Teen Wolf: The Movie on Paramount+!

Teen Wolf: The Movie cast

There are more Tylers where that came from! TV Line reports Superman & Lois star Tyler Hoechlin will reprise his role of Derek Hale in the film. Derek taught Scott everything he knew about being a werewolf, so having him join the fray was an absolute no-brainer. But Derek isn’t the only one giving Beacon Hills one last visit.

Alongside Tyler Hoechlin and Tyler Posey, the cast of Teen Wolf: The Movie features:

  • Holland Roden as Lydia Martin
  •  Shelley Hennig as Malia Tate
  • Melissa Ponzio as Melissa McCall
  •  Dylan Sprayberry as Liam Dunbar
  •  Ian Bohen as Peter Hale
  • Linden Ashby as Sheriff Stilinski
  • Seth Gilliam as Dr. Deaton
  • JR Bourne as Chris Argent
  • Orny Adams as Coach
  •  Ryan Kelley as Jordan Parrish
  • Khylin Rhambo as Mason Hewitt
  • Crystal Reed as Allison Argent

Of course, we’re also bound to see a few new faces, as the pack grows larger by the minute. Get ready to meet the following stars and their respective characters:

  • Amy Workman as Hikari Zhang
  •  Nobi Nakaniski as Deputy Ishida
  • Vince Mattis as Eli Hale

Check out all of these stars in the official trailer for the 2023 release below.

Last but not least, the big elephant in the room — Stiles Stilinski.

Simply put, there is no Scott without Stiles, so it was all the more heartbreaking to learn that Dylan O’Brien would not be joining the cast of the Paramount+ film to reprise his iconic role. Part of us wants to believe that he may do a surprise cameo. Even so, unfortunately for us, O’Brien confirmed otherwise.

“It was a difficult decision,” O’Brien told Variety at the time. “The show couldn’t be more dear to me. It was the first thing I ever did I and so many people there are extremely dear to me. It was something I was trying to make work but it all happened very fast.”

O’Brien added, “Ultimately, I just decided it was left in a really good place for me and I still want to leave it there. I wish them well and I’m going to watch it the first night it comes out. I hope it f—g kicks ass, but I’m not going to be in it.”
