1923 cast: Who’s in the new Yellowstone spin-off series?

The Yellowstone universe is getting another prequel in the upcoming series, 1923. The new Western debuts Sunday, Dec. 18 on Paramount+.

This is the release date for those in the U.S. and Canada. The show will drop on the streaming service Dec. 19 for U.K. and Australian viewers. And if you have cable, be sure to check it out on the Paramount Network as the company will air a special linear airing of the first episode, followed by a new episode of Yellowstone that week.

The Taylor Sheridan-led series will have two, eight-episode seasons, Deadline reports. The creator executive produces alongside John Linson, Art Linson, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari and Ben Richardson.

The iconic Harrison Ford, of course known for his role as Han Solo in the Star Wars universe, will be taking the lead in 1923. The star is stepping away from the big screen for a bit, as this is his first major television acting role. Oscar and Primetime Emmy Award-winner Helen Mirren co-leads as Cara Dutton. We’ve shared the full cast list below:

The series will take us back to the Dutton’s origin story, with patriarch Jacob Dutton (Ford) and matriarch Cara Dutton (Mirren) the heads of the family, Paramount+ shares. The twentieth century-set story will see pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression.
