New Amsterdam is not back in December 2022
The two-hour block of New Amsterdam episodes certainly ended with a shocker. Now we have to wait until 2023 for new episodes.
When we learned that we’d get two hours of New Amsterdam on one night, we knew it meant the fall finale. Around Thanksgiving is a normal time for NBC shows to end for the season. That means we’re not getting any more episodes of the medical drama in 2022.
There won’t be a new episode at all in December. With the shocking ending to the fall finale, we need to know how long we have to wait to see the next episode.
When is New Amsterdam Season 5 back with new episodes?
There isn’t too long to wait for new episodes. This winter break is like many of the others, with the series returning on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Episodes will air at 10 p.m. ET/PT as usual.
It is worth noting that the series only has three episodes left. When we learned New Amsterdam was going to be the last season, NBC confirmed it would be shortened to 13 episodes. We’ll have three episodes in January and that’s it. We’ll get to see who Max chooses, if there’s any hope for Iggy and Martin, and how things will end for Bloom, Reynolds, and others.
The biggest focus for the winter premiere is who Max will choose. Helen is in town and she wants to talk to Max. This is the first time they’ll speak since she sent the letter to break up with him. Will Max meet with her, or will he choose Wilder? Maybe he should spend some time single to work out what he wants in life and put the focus on his daughter.
