Will Mary find her father before the end of the midseason finale? Find out in The Winchesters Season 1, Episode 7 on The CW tonight.

After taking a week off, the team is back in action. It’s time for the midseason finale of The Winchesters, which means we expect a lot to happen. Just how much? Well, it has always been teased as a big one.

When we learned Tom Welling would play Samuel Campbell in the series, we learned he would show up in Episode 7. This is that episode, which means we’ll get to see Samuel. The question is whether Mary will get to see her father, the man she’s been searching all season for.

Henry Winchester returns in The Winchesters Season 1, Episode 7

This is a big episode for returns. We’ll also see Gil McKinney return in The Winchesters during this episode. It’s not clear how this return is going to work since in Supernatural, we learned Henry went to the future and died with his grandsons.

However, in the prequel series, we’ve learned that John has learned about the Men of Letters. In fact, Millie knew all about the Men of Letters, so she didn’t cause John to grow up believing his dad was a deadbeat. She knew something had happened to him, but will she find out the full details in this new episode?

More importantly, why is McKinney returning as the character he played in Supernatural when none of the other actors are? This could be explained because it’s some sort of flashback or because Henry Winchester really is dead, but is it also linked to all the changes to the show’s canon?

"The Hunt heats up and Mary (Meg Donnelly) and John (Drake Rodger) find trails that lead back to their fathers. Carlos (JoJo Fleites) helps Mary investigate where the Akrida might be hiding but they discover more than they bargained for. Meanwhile, Millie (Bianca Kajlich) steps in to help Latika (Nida Kurshid), Ada (Demetria McKinney), and John to decipher notes left behind and they stumble upon a way to get some answers."
