The Winchesters is now on its winter break. New episodes will be back at some point in 2023, but when? We have the official return date.

The time has come for the period we hate with broadcast TV shows. It’s time for the winter breaks. The Winchesters aired its last episode of 2022 on Dec. 6. Now we’re going into a fairly long break with no new episodes.

It was a huge episode, which saw Mary and John face their fathers. We knew that would happen in some sort of way with the news that Tom Welling would turn up as Samuel Campbell and Gil McKinney would return as Henry Winchester in Episode 7 of the season.

Now eyes are on rectifying that cliffhanger. How long do we need to wait to see how it all plays out? When will The Wincheters be back with new episodes?

The Winchesters return date in 2023

We have a bit of a wait on our hands. The good news is The CW has finally confirmed return dates, and TVLine brought us when The Winchesters would be back.

We have to wait until the end of January. The new episode will air on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

There does look to be a timeslot change coming. There will be an encore episode in the 8 p.m. ET/PT timeslot, and then the winter premiere will air in the 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot.

That makes a little sense considering Professionals has wrapped its first season before the end of 2022. However, we’re not sure how things will play out moving forward.

There are a few CW shows missing from the January lineup, and we’re likely waiting until February for them. Is it possible that the final season of The Flash will take over its 8 p.m. ET/PT timeslot and lead into new episodes of the Supernatural prequel? We’d be down for that.
