Wolf Pack, Jeff Davis’ latest werewolf drama, premieres Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 on Paramount+. The series, which isn’t a spin-off or reboot of Teen Wolf, centers on two teens whose lives are transformed by a wildfire that awakens an ancient supernatural creature.

The highly anticipated show, based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, acts as a metaphor for mental health, using the medium of fantasy horror to tell stories that viewers can connect to via explorations of anxiety, a sense of loneliness, and a desire to find the people who understand you best.

Buzz around Wolf Pack has been consistent since the Paramount+ original was announced but that skyrocketed when Sarah Michelle Gellar signed onto the project in a lead role. A legend in the supernatural genre, Gellar has been a household name since her days as Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

For this part, however, she won’t be playing someone who confronts otherworldly creatures on a near constant basis. Instead, she’ll be portraying Kristin Ramsey, an arson investigator who’s at the top of her field. Kristin is put on a wildfire case that puts her directly on the path of the mysterious happenings that are tied closely to the werewolves in this series.

Who else is in Wolf Pack? Here’s what we know!

Wolf Pack cast

  • Sarah Michelle Gellar as Kristin Ramsey
  • Rodrigo Santoro as Garrett Briggs
  • Armani Jackson as Everett Lang
  • Bella Shepard as Blake Navarro
  • Chloe Rose Robertson as Luna Briggs
  • Tyler Lawrence Gray as Harlan Briggs

Character descriptions as provided by the cast in an interview with TVInsider:

Garrett Briggs (Santoro), a park ranger, is in constant conflict with his responsibilities as a father and with morality. He’ll do anything to protect his children, Luna and Harlan, from outsiders and themselves.

Everett Lang (Jackson) is dealing with generalized anxiety and parental issues. He gets bit by a supernatural creature during the wildfire which should make matters worse, but Everett comes to learn that everything happens for a reason.

Like Everett, Blake Navarro (Shepard) has a lot of family issues. As such, she’s very isolated and disconnected. She doesn’t even own a cellphone. Her journey on Wolf Pack is to learn how to open up and trust the people that really care about her.

Luna Briggs (Robertson) is a true born werewolf. She’s resilient and had been searching for a community in friends and family. Once Luna has that supportive unit, she falls in love with it very, very quickly.

Harlan Briggs (Gray), Luna’s brother, is confident in who he is and likes to project fearlessness, but he’s also sensitive and doesn’t like to show that part of himself.
