American politician Nancy Pelosi is getting the documentary treatment, and it’s her very own daughter who took charge behind the lens! Pelosi in the House is a film directed by the public figures daughter, Alexandra Pelosi.

The director also filmed and produced the doc, with editor Geof Bartz and executive producers Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller also working behind the scenes.

The American politician has been Speaker of the United States House of Representatives since 2019. She previously held that role for four years from 2007 to 2011. The democrat is the first woman to be elected Speaker.

The almost two-hour production is set to debut Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO. The doc will also be streaming on HBO Max. So what can you expect to see in the documentary? We’ve got the answer for you below!

What is Pelosi in the House on HBO about?

According to HBO, the film will takes us through the politician’s career highlights throughout the years, all the way to the inauguration of President Joe Biden in January 2021. This includes when she entered public office, having been elected to Congress in 1987.

The production has been filmed in a “cinéma vérité style” over three decades, HBO shares. We’ll see Pelosi both at her very important roles at work, but also when she’s at home. Some of the efforts she spearheaded that will be highlighted in the doc include the Affordable Care Act, the COVID-19 relief package, and two impeachments of President Donald Trump, HBO shares. The events of the January 6 United States Capitol attack in 2021 will also be shown.
