Who is ready to go on another treasure hunt? The search for another historical artifact lives on in the new Disney+ series, National Treasure: Edge of History. When will the first episode of the series premiere? We have the details for you below!
Based on the National Treasure film series starring Nicolas Cage as Benjamin Gates, Edge of History will follow a new protagonist, Jess Valenzuela (Lisette Alexis), and her quest to find a valuable item that unlocks the key to her deceased father, who died when she was a baby. Jess is a gifted dreamer who receives a clue to a Pan-American treasure that dates back hundreds of years.
With the help of her friends, Jess discovers more clues through American artifacts and landmarks but runs into problems when she encounters a relentless treasure hunter, Billie Pearce (Catherine Zeta-Jones). It then becomes a race to find the treasure that holds all the answers to Jess’s past.
Notable members from the film franchise set to appear in Edge of History include Justin Bartha and Harvey Keitel. Bartha stars as Riley Poole, Gates’s gifted computer tech, while Keitel reprises his role of Peter Sadusky, the FBI agent tasked with tracking Gates. New cast members include Lyndon Smith, Zuri Reed, Jake Austin Walker, Antonio Cipriano, and Jordan Rodrigues.
When is the first episode of National Treasure: Edge of History on Disney+?
The first episode of National Treasure: Edge of History premieres Dec. 14 on Disney+. However, there’s news. The second episode will also be available to stream on Dec. 14. So that’s two new episodes to watch in one day! Following the two-episode premiere, eight remaining episodes will release weekly, with the season finale scheduled for Feb. 8, 2023.
