Looks like there’s a method to Warner Bros Discovery’s (WBD) madness when it comes to pulling Westworld, and other titles, from HBO Max’s platform. The company has stayed in the news for ruthless decision making that’s seen creators’ work cancelled, shelved, or pulled entirely from the streamer. However, some of these programs will have the opportunity to find new audiences by being licensed to other platforms.

There’s been reporting that the company is looking to get into the free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) game with the likes of Tubi, Amazon Freevee, Pluto TV, etc. While they do plan on starting their own platform like this, they’re not waiting to start offering popular programming to FAST services that are interested in these shows now.

The titles you’ll find on the list below will be part of a packaged offering and, therefore, will be leaving HBO Max in the coming days. WBD hasn’t announced the third party service(s) acquiring these shows. We’ll keep you posted on those details.

HBO Max shows leaving the streamer

  • Westworld seasons 1-4
  • The Nevers season 1
  • Raised by Wolves season 1-2
  • FBOY Island seasons 1-2
  • Legendary seasons 1-3
  • Finding Magic Mike season 1
  • Head of the Class season 1
  • The Time Traveler’s Wife season 1

Other titles leaving the platform include Gordita Chronicles, Love Life seasons 1-2, Made for Love seasons 1-2, The Garcias season 1, and Minx season 1-2. They, however, haven’t been placed yet. HBO Max is working with studio partners to find opportunities for these programs to reach a new audience. This includes, but isn’t limited to, third party FAST services.

It’s been a busy day for WBD. Patty Jenkins’ weighed in on the Wonder Woman controversy and gave an update on Rogue Squadron‘s status. Click through to the next page to read her statement.
