Sheila did it again! She escaped on today’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. The cop chasing her almost had her cornered, but she managed to squeeze out of his reach at a crucial moment. Yes, that means we’re headed toward Christmas on the show with the fugitive still at-large.
Brooke insisted that they can’t let Sheila keep them from having a happy holiday and, if you’ve seen the preview for the Dec. 23 episode, the soap’s families do manage to have a good time. But with the infamous woman hiding out in Beverly Hills, we can’t possibly be going into the New Year without some kind of altercation, right?
Here’s the full rundown of events from today.
What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?
The most exciting part of the episode was the nighttime highway chase. Sheila was truly gunning it and, while all Baker, Steffy, and Finn could do was yell into a phone, it was entertaining! Two civilians yelling at top volume about air support and maneuvers to cut Sheila off was hilarious. Baker was alarmed at Steffy’s suggestion and had to remind her about public safety.
The officer chasing Sheila lost her in bumper to bumper traffic all because a delivery truck moved at the last moment. He’d just gotten out of his car to look for her vehicle on foot and then went to run after her but the truck impeded his view of where she’d gone. All the police were able to relay to Sinn was that she seemed to be heading toward Beverly Hills.
Of course, this was distressing because that’s where some of Steffy’s family lives. Presumably, they’re talking about the Logan and Forrester estates since she and Taylor live in Malibu. By the end of the episode, Sheila was standing outside of a home, but it wasn’t clear whose residence it is. The story might put a pin in her for now, but I hope we find out whose house that is soon.
It’d be eerie if it’s Brooke’s. She and Katie spent their scenes catching up with one another. Brooke filled her sister in on why she’d walked away from Ridge and the choice to put herself first. Katie praised her, applauding her decision to end this cycle she’s been in with her ex-husband and his ex-wife. I did notice, however, that Brooke said she and Taylor chose not to be anxious over a future with Ridge anymore and she dipped her head and quietly agreed that she’d left him for good. So, I’m not counting Bridge out just yet.
Then it was Katie’s turn to discuss her own love life. Hearing her retell her conversation with Bill took the heavy emotional weight out of it, but that was okay. Their talk was fraught, but with distance, Katie was able to come down and speak about where Bill is at in his life without her own feelings being tied up in it. She’s moving on which is good, but it also means she and her ex aren’t likely to see each other much because Will’s at boarding school.
Katie also extended an invitation to Brooke for Eric’s Christmas gathering which she accepted, of course. For those wondering if Thomas will be there, it looks like no. The latest update is that he’s still laying low, so he likely won’t be a part of the holiday festivities. Neither will R.J., Will, and Bill. As for Sheila, the sisters hope she’s not going to pop up anywhere, but she pops up when you least expect her so that’s not likely.
The soap treated us to a flashback of Steffy’s alleyway confrontation with Sheila which has me wondering if she may pay a visit to Taylor at some point. The scene included Steffy’s line about how her mom may have forgiven the woman, but she couldn’t. Not to mention, the two are overdue for a standoff of their own. I for one would like to see it.
Until next time, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
