Gossip Girl season 2 spoilers: When is Georgina Sparks in the new series?

Gossip Girl season 2 has been a whirlwind of seemingly aimless drama. However, there has been one piece of the plot that’s felt cohesive and that’s the storyline surrounding Kate Keller and Mike Shubin. As they’ve been growing closer, it’s become clear to the audience that Mike is up to something and it has everything to do with Gossip Girl.

He’s on the hunt, and it looks like his sights are on Kate. In episode 4 of the season, “One Flew Over the Cuck’s Nest,” she unexpectedly came across evidence that appears to prove he’s been looking into her. Episode 5, “Games, Trains and Automobiles,” continued that plot with some interesting reveals.

Spoilers ahead of Gossip Girl season 2, episode 5

Turns out Mike’s only looking into who the gossipmonger could be because he’s been blackmailed. All of this stems from money he thought he was getting from an investor only for said person to lock him out of his bank account and force him into doing their bidding.

While this hasn’t been confirmed, it definitely seems like this could be Georgina Sparks’ doing. The infamous woman from the original series, loves a dirty deed to serve her own agenda. We were (re)introduced to her son, Milo, last season, so she’s been a specter for this new series for a bit. Not to mention, it was announced that she would be a part of season.

When is Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl season 2?

Unfortunately, Georgina didn’t make a cameo in episode 5. However, she is on her way. According to a promo still released by HBO Max, she should be making her Gossip Girl (2021) debut in episode 6 which premieres Thursday, Dec. 29.
