Coming to HBO Max in 2023: Succession’s final season and more

2022 was a messy year for HBO Max thanks to the shake-ups at Warner Bros. Discovery. Understandably, subscribers are on edge when it comes to what the streamer plans to offer in 2023 and whether or not titles have a chance of sticking around or moving to FAST services. While the future is up in the air, we can tell you that HBO Max’s 2023 line-up looks thrilling.
January saw the debut of The Last Of Us, HBO’s live-action adaptation of the beloved game. Whether you loved it, or were put off by it, Mindy Kaling’s Velma was the talk of the Internet when the adult animated Scooby-Doo universe show premiered.
February’s offerings included the return of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and the raunchy, love-filled Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special made its land on the platform for a holiday full of laughter and shenanigans.
March will see the long awaited Perry Mason season 2 finally debut and the highly anticipated Succession season 4 is also set to premiere. A heads up about the latter series, its fourth season will be its last so this will be viewers’ last drag down, knock out fight with this dysfunctional family.
For the time being, we’ll also be bidding goodbye to The Last of Us in March. The finale is set to air on Sunday, March 12. The series has been renewed for a second season, so we will return to this fungi infested, zombie world sometime in the future.
As for other big tentpoles like And Just Like That… and Barry, their new seasons are set to land in 2023. However, premiere dates have yet to be announced. The same is true for the majority of the programs on the list below, but it does give us something to look forward to especially for Teen Titans and Doom Patrol fans awaiting new episodes of their respective fourth seasons.
