Station 19 Season 6 is not coming back with new episodes in January 2023
The winter breaks usually come to an end in January of each year. That’s not the case for Station 19 Season 6. When will the winter premiere air?
January marks the return of broadcast shows. At least, that’s mostly the case. There are a few shows not coming back right away, and the entire TGIT lineup is on that list.
Station 19 Season 6 will not air its winter premiere at all in January 2023. It’s not 100% clear why this is, but the long winter break has become pretty standard for ABC in recent years. It does help to prevent the on-off schedule that other networks have between January and May to make sure season finales air during the last couple of weeks of May.
When will Station 19 Season 6 return with new episodes?
Just how long will we need to wait for the series to return, though? There is some great news. ABC has set the return date.
We’ll get Station 19 Season 6 back on Thursday, Feb. 23. The episode will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT as usual, with new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and the new series Alaska Daily following in their usual time blocks.
The Station 19 winter premiere is going to be a two-hour crossover event with Grey’s Anatomy‘s return. This shouldn’t be too surprising when you consider the events in the fall finale. We ended with Maya falling on the treadmill and hitting her head. She was left unconscious in the gym as the alarms at the firehouse sounded.
Everyone rushed to do their jobs, with Andy just glancing at Maya’s left-behind items. Maya is going through a lot right now, so Andy understandably assumes that Maya just wasn’t around to hear the sirens or something similar. There isn’t the time to wait for firefighters who miss the call. How will Andy feel when she realizes what has actually happened?
Station 19 Season 6 returns on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 8/7c on ABC. Catch up on the series on Hulu.
