The long awaited second season was originally slated for a 2022 release, but was pushed to 2023, leaving fans hungry for the next leg of the fan dubbed Dad Batch and Omega’s journey in this galaxy far, far away.

Season 2 of the series picks up months after the events that occurred on Kamino in the season 1 finale. Just like before, this lovable crew is working to navigate the tricky politics of the newly risen Empire and the fallen Republic in the wake of Order 66.

In the first season of The Bad Batch they established themselves as mercenaries and now they’re set to embark on even more thrilling missions and adventures that’ll see the Batch crossing paths with friends and foes in unexpected and dangerous new places.

The Bad Batch season 2 will have a two episode debut available to stream Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on the platform. Judging by the titles of episodes 1 and 2–“Spoils of War” and “Ruins of War”–they’re meant to be viewed together.

Following the premiere, new episodes of the second season will release weekly on Disney+. Fans can expect Star Wars Wednesdays to continue to be a staple in their streaming TV lives. The Bad Batch season 2 is set to run from Jan. through March for a total of 16 episodes. The season finale will be a two parter set to premiere on March 29.
