The Bad Batch season 2 premieres Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023 on Disney+. It’s been a long wait for fans who’d been hoping for a 2022 release for the second season of this beloved Star Wars animated series. But at least we get to start the new year with a return to the Dad Batch and Omega’s story.

The new season picks up months after the finale. The Batch have settled into their lives as mercenaries, but that’s not exactly a career path that sticks to a particular routine. They’ll be going on missions to dangerous places as they fulfill their duties. Also, viewers can count on the lovable crew crossing paths with both friends and foes during their travels.

We’ll also be returned to Crosshair’s plot. In the season 1 finale, he chose to walk away from his brothers and continue his service with the Empire. We don’t know where that’s left him, but we can’t wait to find out.

How many episodes does this season have? Here’s what we know!

The Bad Batch season 2 episode count

Fans can expect a 16 episode season for The Bad Batch season 2. The show’s sophomore run kicks off with a two episode premiere on Jan. 4 and then will release weekly on Disney+. Viewers can anticipate another two episode release on Feb. 8 and a two episode finale on March 29.
