Ever met someone that you thought could use a bit of cheering up? Well, look no further than the titular character in A Man Called Otto. The Mark Forster-directed comedy drama began its limited theatrical release on Dec. 30, 2022, before a wide release in the United States on Jan. 6, 2023 in select theaters.
The movie stars Tom Hanks as Otto Anderson, Truman Hanks as young Otto Anderson, Mariana Treviño as Marisol, Rachel Keller as Sonya, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Tommy, and Cameron Britton as Jimmy.

What is A Man Called Otto about?
The movie is based on the Swedish novel A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman.
The film is centered around Otto Anderson, a man living in a suburban neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He’s described as grumpy and middle-aged as well as a stickler for rules and routines. While he’s frequently at odds with his neighbors, he’s also still grieving the death of his wife, Sonya, and when a new family moves into the neighborhood and shakes up his ‘world’, he has to come to terms with all of the different changes happening around him.
