The day is finally here! The midseason schedule, which is mostly in the months of January and February, is an exciting time in broadcast as returning shows come back from their hiatuses. Plus, it’s a chance for new ones to make their debut. Today marks the premiere for new series, Alert: Missing Persons Unit!
The police procedural stars Scott Caan as Jason Grant and Dania Ramirez as Nikki Batista in the lead roles. Joining the actors onscreen are Graham Verchere as Keith, Fivel Stewart as Sydney, Adeola Role as Kemi, and Ryan Broussard as Mike.
Six years ago, the lives of Jason Grant (Caan) and Nikki Batista (Ramirez) changed when their son Keith (Verchere) went missing. The parents have been searching for him, but with no success. Because of this, the couple grew apart and their marriage “deteriorated,” per the synopsis.
Jason found his way to private security, while Nikki was promoted and became the Head of the Missing Persons Unit (MPU) at the Philadelphia Police Department – helping reunite others as she’s unable to reunite with her son. But there’s hope when Jason receives a possible proof-of-life photo of Keith. That’s when the two come back together personally and professionally on a mission to find their son.
John Eisendrath takes the lead behind the scenes as showrunner and executive producer. Actor Jamie Foxx, Datari Turner, J.R. Orci, Adam Kane, and Michael Offer also executive produce. So what time do you need to tune in? We’ve got the answer for you below!
What time is Alert on FOX tonight?
Alert premieres tonight, Jan. 8, 2023 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. The new series airs right after the NFL game. And though the drama makes its debut tonight, its regular timeslot will actually be on Monday nights going forward.
The next day on Jan. 9, the second episode will air at 9 p.m. ET. Following the pilot, the show will continue to broadcast new episodes on Mondays. If you miss it on TV or don’t have cable, fresh installments will also be available to stream on Hulu the next day they air.
The series premiere, titled “Chloe,” will see the MPU investigating the abduction of a young child. Her kidnapping is probably due to her father’s work, according to the synopsis. Monday night’s episode, titled “Hugo,” Jason, Nikki, and the MPU deal with a woman who runs down a man, forcing him to get in her car at gunpoint. Plus, more information about Keith’s kidnapper is discovered.
