Welcome to Monday, the most wonderful day of the week (huge sarcasm). I wonder how many people have kicked their New Years’ resolutions already? Like we do each and every week, we’re sharing all the new Netflix movies and shows debuting beginning the week of Jan. 9, 2022.

As we shift into a new year, the biggest streaming platform has so much content that it continues to drop weekly. If you are like us and sometimes struggle to find something new, we highlight the new things hitting Netflix right here on Hidden Remote every Monday. That said, we have a wide range of fun content dropping this week that is for all ages.

New Netflix movies and shows to watch this week

  • Andrew Santino: Cheeseburger, Jan. 10
  • The Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker, Jan. 10
  • Noise, Jan. 11
  • Sexify (Season 2), Jan. 11
  • Vikings: Valhalla (Season 2), Jan. 12
  • Dog Gone, Jan. 13
  • Suzan & Freek, Jan. 13

The week’s biggest release comes in the form of a biopic about a young man and his dog separated on the Appalachian Trail in Dog Gone. Now, he and his dad must find him before he is gone for good. The film stars Rob Lowe, Johnny Berchtold, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley.

Fans of Vikings: Valhalla can rejoice as the second season is dropping on the streaming platform. The series, which is a follow-up to the original Vikings series, returns with even more drama, action and battles. The highlight-rated series hit the world by storm last year and never turned back. I never checked this series out, but I may need to binge season one before the show returns.

From our suggestions, what will you be watching? Are you excited about the new season of Vikings: Valhalla? Or will you be checking out Dog Gone with me? Let us know, and let’s hope next week brings us more Netflix additions.
