Famed comedian Peter Kay continues on with his highly anticipated tour, and it looks like things are getting rowdy in the audience. So much so, a recent show saw a heckler kicked out! According to Liverpool Echo, the recent incident took place on Saturday night at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England. Apparently, the audience member was so distracting that even other attendees were getting annoyed and frustrated, leaving them relieved when Kay booted the man.

Kay made his return back to the spotlight in late 2022 after a years-long hiatus. As fans of the Car Share star know, the 49-year-old abruptly abandoned fame back in 2017 and had been absent from headlines or television for years. Many believed he wanted to spend more time with his family, but the only reason Kay gave at the time was: “unforeseen family circumstances.”

The funnyman seems to be enjoying the spotlight again these days, having embarked on his big UK tour in the fall. Though we’re sure he doesn’t miss bothersome people in the audience of his stand-up shows! Liverpool Echo chatted with some audience goers at his M&S Bank Arena tour, who explained what happened and how they felt about someone getting kicked out.

Someone named Lynda Jones said:

"“We we there last night. Brilliant show and that fella was ruining for people around him. The shouting for an autograph was the final straw. Think Peter Kay handled it fairly. The fella had a great seat that thousands of others would have loved and for those of us lucky enough to be there none of us wanted to watch him.”"

Additionally, an audience member named Dan Round recalled:

"“He was a few rows in front of me and Peter was [sic] definitely did the right thing. He’d been told to sit down by stewards twice before and then stood up and asked Peter to sign a mask of his face whilst he was halfway through a bit. It disrupted the performance and Peter lost his train of thought.”"

To check when and where Kay is performing next, read through his list of scheduled tour dates here. In December, Kay was forced to add even more dates due to high demand, and now he’s scheduled to perform through 2025! He’s certainly come back in a big way and his fans could not be happier about his continued success.
