Tom Hanks’s new movie A Man Called Otto will soon be out in theaters in the US and it has already gotten some decent reviews. Based on Swedish author Fredrik Backman’s 2012 book A Man Called Ove, the film is the second version of the novel to be made, this time in the US.

The Sony Pictures film follows a man named Otto Anderson, a widower who exasperates his neighbors on a daily basis with his constant complaints. When a new family moves in, he finds himself in an unwitting friendship with Marisol, his pregnant neighbor who reminds him how to love life.

Directed by Marc Forster, the movie also includes cast members like Mariana Trevino, Rachel Keller, and Cameron Britton. In addition to starring, Tom Hanks also was one of the producers, along with wife and actress, Rita Wilson.

Having debuted in some theaters on Dec. 20, 2022, the film will be released nationwide on Jan. 13, 2023. But are you able to stream the film online at places such as HBO Max?

Unfortunately, you cannot find A Man Called Otto on HBO Max. In fact, the movie is not streaming on any of the major platforms yet. It did just come out in theaters, so there is no worried on when it will be available to stream.

Eventually, it is sure to find its way to places such as HBO Max and maybe Netflix, but for now, going to the movies is the best way to watch the film.

Ratings for the film have been mixed, with it getting a score of 68% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, if you like watching Tom Hanks in any of his roles, then this will be a movie you can enjoy on a weekday or weekend outing.
