There’s a great horror-thriller playing in theaters, M3GANBut if you want to get your scare on with a new movie you can watch from home, Peacock has your back with Sick. What is Peacock’s slasher-thriller about and who stars in it? More importantly, where and when can you watch? We’ve got all the details you need to know so you don’t miss out.

When it comes to streaming platforms, you can say that Peacock is still a newbie. After all, there’s no comparing it to streaming titans such as Netflix and Hulu. Still, that has not stopped Peacock from attracting plenty of attention with quality original content, and it continues to do so with Sick, one of the first streaming movies out of the gate in 2023.

Sick is set in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. To escape the drama, Parker and her BFF Miri quarantine at Parker’s family lake house. It’s secluded, large, and perfect! I wish I had something like this to quarantine at. Parker and Miri believe they are alone, but this is far from the truth. Watching the trailer, I immediately thought about Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, and that’s because the movie was written by Kevin Williamson, who is behind both Scream and IKWYDLS. Hidden Remote screened the movie earlier this week and can say that the elements from these two horror-slasher classics can be seen in Sick.

Sick movie cast: Who stars in the Peacock movie?

The movie stars Gideon Adlon as Parker, the home she and her BFF are staying in belongs to her family. Bethlehem Million plays Miri, Parker’s best friend. Sick also stars Dylan Sprayberry, Jane Adams, and Marc Menchaca.

Now, it’s not a star-studded cast, but it doesn’t need to be when it features a clever story with many surprises and action-packed sequences. Stream Sick on Peacock this Friday, Jan. 13.
