Fire Country‘s tenth episode of the season, “Get Your Hopes Up,” introduced viewers to Cara, Bode’s high school sweetheart and ex-girlfriend. In a short a mount of time, we were informed of her importance in his life and that of his family as she was their next door neighbor who they’d been incredibly close to before the two had broken up.

Bode, however, had told his parents that Cara broke up with him after his injury killed his baseball career. It’d turned the Leones against her because they thought she’d simply been trying to ride his coattails to a good life and cut ties with him because that wasn’t going to be the case. Cara was surprised to learn this since she says Bode broke up with her.

His decision rocked her world and turned it upside down when his parents cooled toward her, too. Since then she’s gone on with her life, but with her mother’s recent passing, Cara could use good people in her life. She’s also working toward becoming a nurse which came in handy when she and Sharon went through multiple medical emergencies while waiting for an ambulance to help treat the electric burn she’d sustained in her own home.

Cara’s appearance isn’t a one off. She’ll be in episode 11, “Mama Bear,” as well. Keep reading for information on the actress who plays the intriguing character making her place on Fire Country.
