The highly anticipated series The Last of Us is finally just a few hours away! After a few stressful delays, fans of the video game the HBO series is based on, along with fans of Pedro Pascal and post-apocalyptic dramas, couldn’t be happier that the big premiere has arrived. Below, we share all the details you need to know, from how many episode season 1 will include to how long tonight’s The Last of Us premiere is.

As soon as the review embargo lifted for The Last of Uscritics began to rave about how brilliant the HBO drama is. Hidden Remote also screened the first several episodes and we can’t recommend it enough. The Last of Us is must-see TV, featuring some of Pedro Pascal’s best work. The best part is that you don’t need to be familiar with the game at all. It is welcoming to both fans and newbies.

How long is The Last of Us episode 1?

The Last of Us episode 1, titled “When You’re Lost in the Darkness,” starts tonight, Sunday, Jan. 15, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO. It will also be available to stream on HBO Max at the same time. But how long is the premiere episode?

Don’t turn off your screen right at 10 p.m. ET, because “When You’re Lost in the Darkness” is not one hour long. Episode 1 is set to be approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes. So it’ll begin at 9 p.m. ET and the episode will end at about 10:25 p.m. ET. The question now is, will you be watching the series premiere on the HBO network or stream it on HBO Max?
