Shows to watch: Lockwood & Co.
Okay, hear me out. I love a good YA supernatural series, and that’s what this one looks to be. Lockwood & Co. is something that reaches out to my Supernatural heart. It’s based on a book series, and all episodes will drop on Netflix at once, making it a great binge.
The series follows a girl and two boys who have a ghost-hunting agency. They will need to save the day from the ghosts and deadly spirits that plague London without any adult supervision at all.
YA supernatural shows haven’t had much of a chance lately. We’ve seen the cancellations of the likes of Warrior Nun and First Kill, just to name a couple. Maybe don’t get too attached to this one, but show Netflix that we do want more.
Shows to watch: The Last of Us
Granted, HBO is not in my good books right now. I’m salty about some of the shows being removed from its service, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to support others. The Last of Us is one to watch, especially if you enjoyed the video game back in 2013.
The series has an outstanding cast that includes Bella Ramsey, Pedro Pascal, Nick Offerman, Merle Dandridge, and Melanie Lynskey. It follows Joel, a smuggler who needs to get teenager Ellie across the United States. Sounds simple, right? Well, there’s been some sort of outbreak and now the world is in ruin.
If you love the likes of The Walking Dead, this is going to be for you. Give it a chance.
Shows to skip: 90 Day Fiance
Is it time to stop with this franchise? The shows were once something to watch, giving us a chance to see couples from other parts of the world meet and figure out each others’ cultural differences. Now, it’s more of a chance for people just to get on TV.
The storylines have become way too manufactured. TLC is giving far too much air time to abusive and toxic people. It’s time to turn off the TV and check out something else.
Which of the shows to watch on our list will you check out? Which ones are you skipping? What have we missed off the list? Let us know in the comments below.
