Final Destination 6 movie updates: Everything we know so far about the horror-thriller

At Hidden Remote, we love all genres, but I would be lying if I said we don’t have a special place in our hearts for horror movies. From supernatural horror to slasher thrillers and everything in between, we can’t get enough. One of the movies we are the most excited to watch is Final Destination 6, so we figured why not create a page to help fans keep up with the latest updates?

Final Destination fans have long been waiting for updates as the franchise is far
from dead! The sixth movie in the series is being produced by Jon Watts (known for Clown and Spider-Man: No Way Home) with Lori Evans Taylor and Guy Busick serving as writers. Taylor is known for Wicked Wicked Games, and Busick for Scream 5. As for the directors, we’ve got Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Final Destination 6 release date predictions

Unfortunately, at the time of this writing, we only know who is behind the movie (producing, writing, directing), so it’s far too early to know a release date. News that Final Destination 6 was in the works came in 2019, so things have been moving rather slowly.

Initially, our guess for when the movie will premiere in theaters, was mid-to-late 2024, but we've just learned an update that may push the release date even further. According to Dexerto, the plot of the movie is being rewritten.

Final Destination 6 will not be like the others

Final Destination creator Jeffrey Reddick teased that the main focus of the upcoming movie will be very different

Dexerto later shared that the movie focuses on First Responders, not the victims. However, it appears creators have once again changed their minds. According to a leaked script, the source shares that FD6 will center on a character who saved several lives during the tower collapse. This mysterious character knows Death very well, as he has been cheating Death for several years. Please note that this is an unconfirmed leak! As soon as we learn more, we'll update this post.

First shared by Bloody Disgusting, there are rumors that FD6 will star Tony Todd, reprising his role as William Bludworth. Other than the horror icon, it is too early to know who else will be featured in the upcoming movie.
