3. Zeke in Manifest
Let’s talk Manifest, which came back for 10 episodes on Netflix in 2022. We’re still waiting for the final 10 episodes of the series, and they have to deal with the traumatic ending. Michaela lost Zeke as he sacrificed himself for Cal.
We thought it was Cal we’d be crying for, but while on his deathbed, Zeke realized why he had been brought back. Zeke absorbed Cal’s leukemia thanks to his empathetic powers, taking on everything and saving the teenager. Michaela got there just in time to say goodbye, but we were heartbroken to see that story end that way.
2. Ashtray in Euphoria
Euphoria Season 2 gave us more Ashtray, but it turned out that this was just to make us love him all the more and make his death harder. He was always one to find himself out of scrapes, and we needed to see him do it again. During the Season 2 finale, he ended up in the middle of a police shootout, but we thought if anyone could get out alive, it would be him.
He even faked unconsciousness at one point. However, just as he stood to kill one more officer, a sniper took Ashtray out. All Fezco could do was watch in horror as his partner in crime was killed. Such a wasted life.
1. Clay in SEAL Team
SEAL Team has brought some devastating deaths, too. Clay is one that we just didn’t quite expect. You see, he’d survived the ambush. Sure, he lost a leg, but he survived. And he was starting to deal with the anger of losing a leg and feeling “less than.”
Sadly, it was all for nothing. Clay went out to help a vet who was ready to kill a load of people. The security guard thought Clay was the one doing the attack since Clay had the gun by that point and shot him. We’re still not over it.
