95th Academy Awards: Who is hosting the Oscars 2023?

Jan. 24, 2023 is the long-awaited day for movie fans and the talents in Hollywood. Why is that? It’s the day the Oscars nominations are announced! This year, actor-producer Riz Ahmed and actress Allison Williams shared the news of who could possibly take home the coveted Academy Award statuette! But who will be leading us through the show?

Among Best Picture, there are over 20 categories recognizing films, actors, directors, and more. Some of the actors nominated this time around are Austin Butler for Elvis, Brendan Fraser for The Whale, Ana de Armas for Blonde, Cate Blanchett for Tár, and Michelle Yeoh for Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Who is hosting the Oscars 2023?

Comedian and host of his late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting the Oscars 2023. This is the third time he takes to the Academy Awards stage. He previously MC’d the 89th ceremony in 2017 and the 90th the following year in 2018. He’s best known for his late-night talk show on ABC, Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The show broadcast its first episode back in January 2003.

The 95th Academy Awards, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), are set to air Sunday, March 12, 2023 on ABC. The around three and a half hour ceremony will take place in the show’s regular home at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
