The Good Doctor wasted no time in putting a pregnant Lea’s life on the line. Did she live or die in the Season 6 winter premiere?

There is no doubt that we worried for both Lea and her unborn baby in The Good Doctor winter premiere. We’ve been worried all winter break. The promo made it very clear that Lea’s life would be put on the line. The show wasted no time in giving Shaun a difficult storyline to deal with.

What happened in the end? Did Lea managed to survive the surgery? Did Shaun lose the woman he loves the most? Let’s take a look at everything that happened.

Lea survived in The Good Doctor Season 6 winter premiere

Lea needed a surgery to help with the thinning uterine lining. Without it, she would end up losing the baby, and she and Shaun didn’t want that to happen. So, she was admitted into hospital and went through the first surgery.

Things seemed fine until the doctors found out that an artery had attached itself to the scar tissue. Of course, that artery ruptured and Lea needed a second surgery. This was the one where her life was put on the line.

Would the doctors be able to save both mother and unborn baby? There was some good news at the end of The Good Doctor Season 6 winter premiere. Shaun kept both in his life. The doctors saved Lea’s life and we found out that the baby still had a heartbeat.

The promo for the new episode suggests another time jump based on Lea’s bump size. We’ll see her want to save the life of a dog, and Shaun is the one who needs to come up with a surgery to help. Someone might want to tell her that dogs are not like people when it comes to medicine.
