Looks like we have a new mystery show on our hands! The Peacock mystery-thriller original series Poker Face is coming to the service on Jan. 26. The show is described by its creator and executive producer Rian Johnson (Knives Out, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery) as a “character-driven, case-of-the-week mystery comedy-drama.”

The show is based on the “howcatchem” format popularized by the NBC crime-drama series Columbo. 

The show is set to star Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll, Orange is the New Black) as Charlie Cale, a detective who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. As she goes around the country, and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but investigate and solve. The show will feature a wide range of guest stars who will act as a criminals, accomplices, and possibly potential confidantes in Cale’s cases.

How many episodes are in the first season of Poker Face?

The series was given a 10-episode order by the streaming service. The first four episodes will be released on the premiere date, Jan. 26. The rest will follow a weekly release schedule on Thursdays until the finale on Mar. 9.

The titles for a majority of the episodes have not yet been released yet so we’ll update this post when they are available!
