Criminal Minds: Evolution episode 8 found the team getting closer to Sicarius, despite the case being officially closed. However, the team were still able to investigate without “officially” investigating him. Plus, JJ learned her son Henry was way too good at knowing his parents.

Even though the BAU can no longer investigate Sicarius on their own, they still have the ability to help investigators working on other cases. This is true when the body of Cyrus LeBran is found and the investigators, knowing about Sicarius, asks for the BAU to assist them.

They are able to find out that Cyrus had taken in his nephew after his parents died in an apartment fire. Other than information about home schooling, there is no other sign of Lee anywhere. Eventually, Garcia and Rossi figure out that in the security footage from the hardware store, their suspect is ignoring a phone call.

As for Eli, he is desperate to save his marriage and abducts a real estate agent named Ramona Havener. Even though the police received a call from her saying she was fine, Tara, Luke, and Rossi don’t believe this to be the actual case.

Criminal Minds: Evolution episode 8 sees the team getting closer to Sicarius

While Eli claimed he would let Ramona go after she helped him with what he needed, he actually handed her off to one of the men in his network. Rossi and Luke were able to stop him, but not without being able to find Ramona.

Once she is found, she is too terrified of a threat made to her family, so they can’t get cooperation to help open the case. But this won’t stop Rossi.

After cross referencing missed calls from the hardware store location area to phone calls made in the northwest, Rossi decides to go door to door to figure out a connection. This soon brings him to Eli’s home, where his wife has just gotten off the phone with him.

The side plot to the episode was JJ and Will trying to keep their sons from seeing anything is wrong. However, Henry overhears them talking about Sicarius and Will’s health, which worries him. JJ and Will do their best to settle his nerves, but it’s clear Henry knows them too well. But hopefully things will turn out well.

With the team getting closer to finding Eli, we’re looking forward to how things play out, especially considering Garcia is still apparently getting it on with Tyler.
