Another weekend means there are now new movies to watch! Can’t keep up with them all? We share a quick list of the best new weekend movies to watch in theaters and available on streaming services that you won’t want to miss.

I’ll be honest, this was a lot more impressive of a month than I expected. We’ve seen some fun horror movies like M3GA N break into the scene and a no-nonsense action thriller from Gerard Butler in Plane. I’ll call this the last calm before the storm because February is a jam-packed month for film.

Weekend movies to watch (and stream) today

  • Fear, Theaters
  • Infinity Pool, Theaters
  • Shotgun Wedding, Prime Video
  • You People, Netflix
  • Pamela, A Love Story, Netflix
  • Teen Wolf: The Movie, Paramount+

The movie I am looking forward to checking out the most is Netflix’s You People. The comedy, co-written by Jonah Hill and Kenya Barris, features a story of a new couple and the struggles of mixing their families. The film stars Jonah Hill and Lauren London as the couple, with Nia Long, Eddie Murphy, David Duchovny, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as the parents. From the moment I saw this trailer, I knew I needed to check this out. The movie looks hilarious, but Eddie Murphy and Jonah Hill? What? I can’t wait.

The other big release comes from Prime Video in a romantic comedy starring Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel in Shotgun Wedding. Come on, they had us at JLO, Duhamel, and romcom, they didn’t even have to release a trailer and knew we would be front and center. JLO returned with all of her glory in last year’s Marry Me, and she returns in what looks like one wild ride.

Debuting at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, Infinity Pool is arriving in theaters this weekend. The movie stars our new horror queen Mia Goth and Alexander Skarsgård and is from the brilliant mind of Brandon Cronenberg.
