Is a new episode of SWAT on CBS tonight? (Jan. 27, 2023)
SWAT has had some great episodes and we’ve been along for the ride since the premiere. In addition to enjoying the show every week, we’re also keeping an eye on the schedule to know when to expect new episodes to air. So is SWAT new on CBS tonight, Jan. 27?
In the last episode, “Atonement,” we learned more about Deacon’s background while the team investigated a car bombing. From the outskirts, it looked like Ukrainian refugees were killed, but it turns out the people responsible were Russian terrorists who embedded themselves within the Ukraine community that came to the U.S. to escape the war.
While taking on the case, Deacon was reunited with the pastor who helped him years ago after he lost his friend to an accident. Even though Deacon had not been behind the wheel, he carried guilt for the events that transpired. It was an insight into who he was and what led him to where he is today.
Plus, we also saw more of Luca’s new relationship with his half-sister, Eva. Despite getting along with her, his brother Terry is not interested in getting to know her. Plus, he knew for three years that she existed and never told Luca. This caused Eva to step aside, despite Luca still wanting to get to know her. Even if Terry came around, it was too late. But it’s possible things might change in the future.

Eventually, the team was able to figure out where the Russian terrorists were planning to strike next thanks to the help of a Ukrainian refugee who was in a relationship with one of them, unaware that they were terrorists. Just in time, they were able to stop the group from bombing a church that was holding an event that day.
After that episode, we were looking forward to seeing what happens next. However, it doesn’t appear that SWAT will be airing on Jan. 27, 2023. A new episode is set to be released on Feb. 3, 2023. Until then, you can watch previous episodes of the series on Paramount+.
The next episode, “Addicted,” according to the synopsis, will follow SWAT as they respond to a “gunman targeting rehab centers and those he considers responsible for his brother’s death.” Plus, it looks like we will see Deacon and his wife, Annie (Bre Blair), working through a decision she makes that will affect their daughter.
