When was the last time the Eagles were in the Super Bowl?

Fly, Eagles, Fly! The Philadelphia Eagles are heading to the Super Bowl! This past weekend, NFL fans across the country watched the Conference Championship games which saw the Eagles take on the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs play the Cincinnati Bengals. Both games were incredibly entertaining and we officially found out who would be the final two teams heading to the biggest NFL game of the year. The Eagles’ Jalen Hurts will go up against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the Super Bowl next month, making for what’s bound to be a fun night.

The Kansas City Chiefs almost made it to the Super Bowl last year, facing the Bengals during the AFC Championship game but losing. In 2022, we saw the Bengals play against the Los Angeles Rams, and the Rams won 23-20. As for the Philadelphia Eagles, however, it’s been a while since they made it this close to the finish line. Here’s the last time the Eagles went to the Super Bowl, along with the list of their past appearances.

Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl appearances

It’s been five years since the Eagles played in the Super Bowl, taking on the New England Patriots in 2018 and winning. That year’s game (Super Bowl LII) is the only time they’ve won the achievement. Here’s the full list of their Super Bowl appearances:

• 1981: Philadelphia Eagles vs Las Vegas Raiders – Raiders won 27-10
• 2005: Philadelphia Eagles vs New England Patriots – Patriots won 24-21
• 2018: Philadephia Eagles vs New England Patriots – Eagles won 41-33
• 2023: Philadelphia Eagles vs Kansas City Chiefs – TBD
