Everything’s bigger in Texas, especially now, with news of the adult animated series King of the Hill getting a reboot. The show is set in the state’s fictional town of Arlen and follows the daily happenings of residents in the town, which focuses on main character, Hank Hill, a propane accessory salesman and his family: Hank’s wife Peggy (voiced by Kathy Najimy), his son Bobby (voiced by Pamela Adlon), and his niece Luanne (voiced by Brittany Murphy).

Hank’s friends serve as supporting characters such as Dale Gribble (voiced by John Hardwick), their next door neighbor and conspiracy theorist, Bill Dauterive (voiced by Stephen Root), a depressed Sergeant and barber in the Army, and Boomhauer (also voiced by Judge), whose Southern yet non-fluent accent causes awkward moments of confusion between the group.

The original series was created by Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt Head, Silicon Valley) and Greg Daniels (The Office) and originally aired on FOX from 1997 to 2009. Even after Judge and Daniels announced the formation of a new company in 2022, with an effort to revive the show, it was ultimately not picked up by FOX. So hearing of a revival still being ordered is great news
