Fire Country keeps heating up as we dive into the back half of its thrilling first season. Last episode, “Two Pink Lines,” Cal Fire and Three Rock welcomed a new munchkin into their ranks when Freddie’s daughter was born.

The audience was also introduced to the term “nugget,” denoting the name given to legacy firefighters walking in their loved ones’ footsteps. It’s a term that’s playful and pokes fun at their status within their chosen career and how it looks from the outside to firefighters who aren’t legacy recruits.

The biggest developments in the episode included Sharon learning Bode’s a match as a kidney donor and her initial refusal to accept his sacrifice for her health. Thankfully, she eventually relented but we do wonder if she knew Jake’s a match, too, if she’d be changing her mind.

Also, Bode and Gabriela finally crossed the line into something more as they kissed during a clandestine meeting that saw the two promising to grow so they can be ready for each other once Bode’s released in a year.

What’s set to happen in episode 13, “You Know Your Dragon Best,” an episode that sees Bode celebrating a milestone and some good news? Check out the exclusive sneak peek below for a glimpse at what’s to come!
