Since the revival of CSI: Las Vegas, long time fans of the show have been enjoying the return of many characters from the original hit series it was spawned from. This was definitely the case with Catherine Willows, played by Marg Helgenberger. But after the latest episode, is Marg Helgenberger leaving CSI: Las Vegas?
The latest episode found the team looking into a homicide from four years earlier after the victim’s sister woke up from a coma she had been in since the attack. With the salon having been left alone as a crime scene since, the team goes in to collect evidence to hopefully find the killer.
Catherine had been off work to take care of her granddaughter, Hannah, but was called in to help on the case. This decision to bring Hannah to the crime scene eventually made its way to Lindsey, her daughter with whom she has a tumultuous relationship.
Even though Lindsey is upset with her mother, Catherine attempts to make amends by asking to go on a vacation to Hawaii with both her and Hannah. While we don’t see Lindsey’s response, Catherine’s reaction clearly shows that it looks as though Lindsey agreed.
Is Marg Helgenberger leaving CSI: Las Vegas?
So does this mean Marg Helgenberger is leaving the show? There has not been any announcement regarding her status. Plus, we have also seen a behind the scenes photo of her with the team on Instagram, including former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star Eric Szmanda, who played Greg Sanders until the end of the show’s run.
He will be making a return to the series as well, so he’ll likely be around while Catherine is taking time off to be with her daughter and granddaughter. So it doesn’t look like we’ll have to say goodbye to Catherine Willows again anytime soon!
