While he might still be new to the league, Joe Burrow is already considered one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL. He was drafted as the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, and in his first season, he broke multiple records and made a strong impact on the league.

Burrow possesses a rare combination of arm strength, intelligence, and leadership skills. He is able to read the field and make quick, accurate decisions, and his ability to make smart throws under pressure has earned him praise from fans and analysts alike. Moreover, his leadership qualities make him a valuable asset to the Bengals, and he has already established himself as a leader on and off the field. Is Joe Burrow playing in the Pro Bowl today?

Although Joe Burrow was voted to the Pro Bowl and is not heading to the Super Bowl this season, which would have allowed him to play in the game, Burrow will not be playing in the Pro Bowl today. Instead, it will be Derek Carr from the Las Vega Raiders, Trevor Lawrence from the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tyler Huntley from the Baltimore Ravens who will be playing quarterback for the AFC today at the Pro Bowl.

Why isn’t Joe Burrow playing in the Pro Bowl?

Oddly, the NFL has not announced the official reason why Joe Burrow is not playing in the Pro Bowl this year with the league simply noting that he’s been given an excused absence from the game.

Its possible Burrow opted not to play in the Pro Bowl after sustaining a wrist injury in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs. While no injury was reported after the game, Burrow did seem to irritate his wrist playing against the Chiefs so it’s possible he opted out of the game to rest up.
