The Watchful Eye premiered on Freeform on Monday, Jan. 30. If you haven’t watched the new mystery thriller, you’re missing out! Luckily, you are only a few episodes behind. But who is the show’s targeted audience? Is The Watchful Eye a series you can enjoy with the whole family or should this something to watch when the kids go to sleep?

Directed by Charissa Sanjarernsuithikul, Daniel Willis, and Jeffrey Reiner, The Watchful Eye follows Elena, a young woman who becomes entangled in a world of old money and dangerous secrets. The first two episodes premiered on Jan. 30, but one will follow each week after on Monday nights — so catch up before you fall behind.

Now, it’s up to each parent what their kiddos can watch. To many, it’s all about why a series (or movie) received the age rating that it did. Some teens can handle light violence and language, but are too young for gore and sexual content. It all depends on their age and maturity, parents know best, we’re only here to help out!

The mystery thriller is rated TV-14, so it is not recommended for children under the age of 14-years-old. It is rated TV-14 for some violence, profanity, and alcohol consumption. However, no sexual content or references have been featured.
