Fans of Spirited Away have been waiting for the stage adaption of the classic Hayao Miyazaki film for so long that they’re practically begging to see every second of the phenomenon as soon as possible. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait too long before they see this release. However, the stage play won’t be what many are expecting, as, unfortunately, the complete production won’t come overseas.

Confused? Don’t worry! We’re here to explain everything there is to know about the Spirited Away stage play’s anticipated release in America!

When will the Spirited Away stage play release in America?

Gizmodo reports that the Spirited Away stage play will be distributed in America later this spring. We don’t have an exact release date just yet, but once we do, we’ll be sure to let you know so you can purchase those tickets expeditiously. Speaking of tickets, here’s how you can watch.

How to watch the Spirited Away stage play

As per the media outlet, the stage play will release in movie theaters, meaning you’ll have to purchase tickets at your local theater. Prices will vary, so be sure to check in with your movie theater for more information.

Lastly, it’s important to note that you will be getting a two-for-one special when the stage play does arrive! The release will feature two renditions of the play; one featuring Kanna Hashimoto and the other featuring Mone Kamishiraishi. Both will play the lead protagonist, Chihiro.

Hopefully, we’ll have more updates about the Spirited Away stage play soon, as we would love to receive a trailer, a release date, and an official cast list, too. Until then, be sure to check back with Hidden Remote for updates, and stream every second of the beloved 2001 film right now on Prime Video, Apple TV+, HBO Max, and Vudu.
