The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game kicks off Friday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. ET ESPN. The annual All-Star Weekend basketball event is a good time for all as familiar faces from the NBA, WNBA, and non-sports professions take to the court for some fun and athleticism. Primarily, the celebrity players are a stacked crew of entertainment industry darlings but fitness stars like Alex Toussaint also put their skills to the test as well.
If you tuned into last year’s game, then you remember Toussaint claimed the coveted title of MVP during the 2022 event. According to Sports Illustrated, he scored 18 points for Team Walton who walked away with the victory over Team Nique for a tight win. The score was 65-51.
For those unfamiliar with Alex Toussaint, here’s what we know about him.
Who is Alex Toussaint?
Toussaint is best known for his work as a Peloton cycling instructor. He’s been with the company since they recruited him in 2015. He credits his time spent at military school for the discipline he fosters now in his life and the skills he learned which have helped him achieve his goals.
The instructor is a big champion of mental health, self encouragement, and leaving none of his riders behind in class. Toussaint aims to provide a welcoming space for all so that his students feel safe in the environment he’s creating, one based on discipline, positive enforcement, and taking care of one’s body, mind, and spirit.
He’s also the founder of the Do Better Foundation whose mission ” is to democratize wellness by providing access to wellness resources.”
