In the year 2022, Tom Hanks starred in Elvis as Colonel Tom Parker, in Pinocchio as Geppetto, and as Otto Anderson in A Man Called Otto. Unfortunately, as brilliant as Hanks is in these roles, the actor is not among the nominees at the upcoming Academy Awards. The film Elvis did receive a lot of praise, including eight Oscar nominations. But these are for Austin Butler for Best Actor in a Leading Role, and Best Picture, among other. Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio is also nominated for Best Animated Feature Film.
