The 118 had a series of calls involving lightning strikes. They didn’t expect a strike to hit one of their own. What’s happening in 911 Season 6?
Caution: There are spoilers from 911 Season 6, Episode 10 in this post.
911 Season 6 is back after its winter break, and it’s left us with our hearts in our mouths. Are we going to see a member of the team leave permanently? If so, this is an exit we didn’t see coming.
The winter premiere saw the 118 attend numerous calls that involved lightning strikes. The last call was a fire at an apartment building, and Buck climbed the top of the ladder, making it clear to Chimney that it was his turn. As he worked on putting out the fire, the heavens opened and Buck was hit by a lightning strike.
Okay, someone can survive being hit by lightning, right? By the end of the episode, Hen confirms that Buck’s heart has stopped. Right now, he’s dead.
Will Buck survive in 911 Season 6?
Is that it? Well, we know the 118 don’t give up on their own. Chimney initially went for the pads, but Hen made it clear that it wouldn’t be any good. So, Chimney started chest compressions as they got Buck to the ambulance. Now Buck is on the way to the hospital.
Restarting his heart isn’t as easy as so many other TV shows show. The promo makes it clear that Buck is in a coma, and we’ll get to see things going on inside Buck’s head.
With some hope, this is very much like when TK was in a coma in 911 Lone Star. It’s a chance for Buck to face some of his fears and learn a little more about himself.
I suspect we’ll see Buck survive. I also suspect that there will be a lot in the aftermath of Buck dying and being revived. Chimney will blame himself, the 118 will feel the weight of Buck’s incident, and Maddie will feel the fear of losing another brother.
